There are two types of shells in Navy War: 

HIGH EXPLOSIVE (HE)

• Purchased exclusively for silver.
  

• Always keep High Explosive shells in reserve.
  

SEMI-ARMOR PIERCING (SAP)

• Purchased exclusively for gold;
• Deals more damage;
• Higher chance to expose an opponent to negative effects.
